Luxury Car Rental for Whistler & the Sea-to-Sky
For a winter rental from Vancouver to Whistler, confirm suitable tires before booking. Only Avolus's Cadillac Escalade currently has winter tires. The Sea-to-Sky Highway has posted winter-tire requirements from October 1 through April 30; AWD or 4WD does not replace compliant tires.

Which Avolus vehicle currently has winter tires?
The Cadillac Escalade currently has winter tires. Check road conditions and posted tire requirements before travel; four-wheel drive does not replace suitable tires or safe driving.
The Range Rover, X7, Macan, X1, M440i, M3 and S580 do not currently have winter tires. Do not interpret an AWD specification or an SUV body style as confirmation that a car is suitable for your winter route. Contact Avolus with your dates and travel plans before booking.
The Escalade has seven seats and a 3.0L Diesel engine. Check space for your party, suitcases and any ski equipment before reserving; passenger count alone does not tell you how much luggage fits.
What are the Sea-to-Sky winter-tire rules?
BC's South Coast designated-route map lists the Sea-to-Sky route toward Whistler with winter-tire requirements from October 1 through April 30. Follow roadside signs and the current provincial guidance, not a general assumption that every highway uses a March 31 end date.
BC defines a legal winter tire by its M+S or three-peaked mountain/snowflake marking and at least 3.5 mm tread depth. The province recommends the mountain/snowflake symbol for better snow and ice traction. Compliance is a minimum, not a promise of safe travel in every condition.
How should I plan kilometres and delivery?
Plan your actual route, including local driving and stops, against the 150 km/day published allowance. The Escalade's extra-kilometre rate is $1.75/km. Check your full rental duration and expected driving before choosing a rate tier.
Delivery within Vancouver and to YVR is free. Delivery in Whistler is by arrangement and quoted separately. Agree the delivery and collection locations in advance rather than assuming a mountain delivery is included in the rental rate.
What should I check before leaving Vancouver?
Check current road conditions, weather and provincial travel advice. Leave time for changing conditions and postpone travel if it is unsafe. Winter tires and four-wheel drive do not remove the need for appropriate speed, spacing and careful braking.
Keep Avolus's contact details and the return plan available. The daily contact hours are 8 AM to 8 PM. Use approved roads only and review the rental agreement, including restrictions on off-road use and travel outside British Columbia.

Questions
What else should I know?
Does AWD mean a rental is winter-ready?
No. AWD or 4WD does not replace compliant winter tires on a designated BC route. Only the Cadillac Escalade currently has winter tires in the Avolus fleet. Confirm the current fitment before booking, follow posted requirements and check road conditions; suitable equipment does not guarantee safe driving in severe weather.
Is delivery to Whistler free?
Delivery is free within Vancouver and to YVR Airport. Other Greater Vancouver locations, the Fraser Valley and Whistler are available by arrangement, with pricing confirmed before booking. Share your address, arrival time and collection plans with Avolus so the delivery details can be agreed for your rental.
